FootballSince taking over the football team in 2007 from legendary coach Chuck Wakefield, the Blues have been in the playoffs every year. The Blues won the Championship trophy in 2013, after several trips to the finals. Jonathan has not only been blessed with talented players, but has also had some incredible volunteer coaches in the past. Attracting quality coaches to volunteer is another attribute of Jonathan's. The past 2 seasons were the most challenging as Central Tech had no home field to play or practice on. The team and coaches had to travel to another school in order to practice.

HockeyJonathan' first year coaching the Central Tech hockey team was a successful one. The team made it to the TDSB City Finals for the first time in over 20 years and made the playoffs for the first time in over 15 years.

Track and FieldTaking over the track team at Central Tech for the first time in 2016, Jonathan attracted 40 student athletes to compete for Central Tech. Winning the Junior Boys Regional Championship was the first track award Central Tech had won in over 15 years.
Jonathan's first year at Victoria Park Collegiate saw him resurrect the track team after an 8 year absence. With over 40 participants in it's first year (2017), the team grew to 70 student athletes in it's second year. This year, Jonathan hopes to attract over 100 participants. |
Jonathan has built great relationships over his lifetime and is fortunate to be able to draw quality community coaches to assist him. Every basketball team that Jonathan has been apart of has made it to at least the semi-finals in each season. Jonathan's close relationship with the Steve Nash Foundation, Ryerson University basketball team, and U of T basketball team enables his student athletes to receive free basketball shoes, when needed.
